Why are the mandatory deposits non-refundable?

Our team begins planning of tours as soon as enrollment is complete in order to provide the highest quality service at the most economical price. As a result, substantial non-recoverable costs and expenses are incurred in planning, preparing, and pre-paying amounts for our programs. This includes the people needed to work with the program, Group Leaders to design and plan the tour, the support staff for travelers and their families as they prepare for travel, as well as the sourcing staff needed to vet, elect, and then negotiate group-based contracts with third party suppliers and vendors.

What about trip protection coverage?

We currently offer trip protection coverage to offset some of the non-refundable monies. Trip Protection Plan - Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) is an optional add-on travel insurance benefit made available to clients who are enrolled in an international study abroad program offered by our company. With CFAR coverage, your reason for withdrawal does not have to be disclosed nor justified as long as withdrawal is made by the deadline set in your program policy. A full refund of paid monies less the cost of the coverage will be refunded to the client.

Why should get the add-on coverage?

CFAR coverage lowers the non-refundable amount from $525 (initial non-refundable deposit) to $280 (cost of CFAR coverage) and allows for cancellation for ANY reason. Given the circumstances of the global pandemic, this is a good option. It not only lowers potential investment loss, but it gives more flexibility considering the unknown.

Why might I pass on the coverage?

CFAR is an additional cost. If all goes well, and you have no need to modify or cancel your trip plans, you’ve paid $280 for peace of mind. CFAR works just like any other type of insurance. It serves as a comfort measure.

Who is responsible for getting travelers’ passports and visas?

Each traveler must obtain a passport and any applicable visas for his or her tour prior to departure. It is important to be sure that passports are valid for at least six months after the end of your trip. Visit the U.S. Department of State at travel.state.gov for more information.

What if cancellation results from border closure?

CFAR Trip protection plan covers for cancellation through the expiry date for ANY reason. After the expiry date, no refunds will be honored.

Are vaccinations mandatory for students?

While we totally understand that not every interested applicate is willing to vaccinate, we can not control what the government decides nor when. If the local government decides to mandate vaccination for entry, we must adhere to those requirements. All standard refund guidelines apply for program withdrawals unless otherwise communicated in writing.
